Kura Master is a prestigious French sake competition held every year since 2017. The jury compromises of the very best French sommeliers, wine merchants and leading hotel and restaurant professionals. Unlike its counterpart in Japan, Kura Master emphasizes the concept of “terroir” instead of just sake classification, so among the 6 categories, other than Junmai, Junmai Daiginjo and Sparkling sake, there are three covering rice – Yamadanishiki, Omachi and Dewasansan.
