Takeda Shuzo based in Niigata Prefecture, has been around for over 150 years since the Edo Period. It has a rich heritage and prides itself in using traditional sake brewing methods. Their label of sakes, Katafune, has picked up numerous renowned sake awards for good reason. Katafune is known for it's rich, rounded, sweet yet crisp character. This is rare for Niigata Prefecture which is known to have dry sakes.
