Nose of lychee, light spice, rainwater, and brown sugar. Slightly earthy and nutty. Deep flavors on the palate, with a high amount of savoriness. Bold textures with a gentle astringency on the finish.
This sake is from the Watanabe brewery which has not only won many awards has in Japan but also in Europe and the United States. That aside, the brewery is also led by one of the few female master brewers (Toji) in Japan called Asaka Watanabe. The brewery was founded in 1902 and she is the 4th generation Watanabe who is continuing this traditional know-how of her family.¬†
